Yin Yoga is a slow-paced and meditative style of yoga that targets the connective tissues, such as ligaments, tendons, and fascia. It involves passive and long-held poses, typically ranging from 3 to 5 minutes or more, with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility. While the Yang yoga involves a faster-pace, more dynamic and active poses. It engages muscles, promotes strength, stability, and improved muscle tone.
This prolonged duration allows practitioners to explore stillness, promote self-awareness, and access deeper layers of the body, fostering a sense of balance and relaxation. The practice also incorporates mindfulness and breath awareness, contributing to both physical and mental well-being.
